Can accounts be consolidated for reporting purposes?

There are several ways to consolidate reports. They can be aggregated based on number of characters in common. For example, accounts AB001, AB002, AB003 can be consolidated as account AB based on the first 2 characters of the number. They can be consolidated based on a specific code which is common for a group of accounts such as all irrevocable trusts. Finally, sub accounts can be assigned to a main account and then all the sub accounts are treated as one big account.

Can trades be posted to prior periods?

Each transaction is assigned a posting period which defines which month a transaction actually updated the system and is extracted for reports. The default is either the current month if a transaction is in the current month or the last month end if a transaction has a date prior to the current month. However, an override posting period can be entered if a transaction needs to be assigned to a specific month end.

Can dividends be generated automatically?

The Corporate Action module automatically creates dividend receipts (and accruals if desired) for all accounts which own a security when a pending dividend corporate action is entered. Other types of corporate actions are stock splits, name changes and mergers to name a few.

Are there Performance Reports?

There are several types of Performance Measurement Reports. Each report is based on the process of computing market values for each month end as well as the net flows for each day of the month. A time weighted rate of return is computed for each month and then linked together for the desired time frames such as year to date, 1 year, 3, year, 5 year. Performance can be reported on an account level, security type level such as bonds and stocks as well as a subtype level such as corporate bonds or large company stocks. Indices can also be printed for comparison purposes. Performance can be reported for composite groups and consolidated accounts.

In addition, performance for an individual stock can be reported for a specified time frame.

Can purchase and/or redemptions be scheduled?

Either periodic withdrawals or automated purchases can be set up to be processed monthly. The withdrawals can be deposited directly into a bank account or a check can be generated.

When are confirmations printed?

A confirm is automatically printed each night for any transaction which posts during the day. In addition, confirms are printed when certain account information is changed such as address and sent to both the new and old address for security purposes. Confirms can also easily be printed on an ad hoc basis from the Shareholder Inquiry screen. In addition, groups of confirms can be printed based on user defined queries, such as all shareholders in a requested state with a balance greater than a specified dollar amount.

Can dividends be paid to another account?

A cross reference can be set up so that dividend payments can be paid to a designated account in either the same fund or a different fund.

Top

Can late trades be entered?

After a specified time of day such as 4 pm for normal trading days, a screen is displayed during the data entry process. The screen requests the time at which the trade was actually received. If that time is after the late trade time, the trade is rejected. If the time is prior to the late trade time, a reason must be entered for why the transaction is being entered late. A report can then be printed for audit purposes.

Can a cost information be maintained?

The average cost for an account can be automatically computed and printed on confirmations.
